Let's face it, flying ain't magic, butthere are people in the industry that love to keep that 'mystique' goingwith the general public. And having worked at airports and airlines foryears, I'll tell ya, security at the airports was a joke. I did, and got into one hell of an argument with the staffer.I told him a C-150 or any small piston aircaft could in no way do the damage that has occurred. He stated that a small aircraft loaded with explosives......and I responded that the Major airlines were hijacked by people carring knives, not guns or bombs. He stated that new security measures would be in place to prevent this....my response to him was that not all knives are or need to be made of steel, I happen to have a couple of knives made of plastic which are quite sharp and pointy.Do we take ink pens away from everybody? If somebody wants to bad enough, they will create all the havoc that they want. Scarrie as Hell, but true. I told him this is just punishing the wrong people. My Ford F-150 can carry 3 times the load of a single engine airplane and currently has no restrictions on driving it anywhere. My final statement to him was this "It Started with the Hijack of a Commercial Airline, so now the only thing that can fly is a commercial airliner....makes a lot of sense to me. Think of all the small FBO's and flight schools that have no income right now but the power of big airlines has them up and flying.________________________________________________________________________________
