Denatured alcohol is the thinner and cleaner-upper for T-88. Only workswhile the glue is not yet hardened, but does a dynamite job. After it'shardened, use a wire wheel on the grinder!Vinegar is great for silicons or the Tite-Bond II types. Soap and water forElmer's.CraigWishing there was a clean-up solvent for welding!________________________________________________________________________________

Just wondering, is there a reason to thin T-88 for a Piet? My mix seemsbuttery and goes on pretty good, drips pretty good too. Is T-88 the sameepoxy the fiberglass builders use on the lay-ups? I can see that beingthinned out to brush on. When I leave my T-88 in the garage and it gets toocold, I zap it in the microwave for a minute to thin it. I found that the wife's weight watcher digital scale requires a good amountof glue in order to get a reading. Wasteful. So it's back to smallerbatches by eye.Kent HallstenOklahoma CityFinally got some rain!Denatured alcohol is the thinner and cleaner-upper for T-88. I have not seen it used for fiberglassing - SystemThree makes other products tooto do that type of stuff. You can thin and use it as a sealer on your wood -or so I have heard. I would imagine it would work well.>>I found that the wife's weight watcher digital scale requires a good amount>of glue in order to get a reading. Wasteful. Put atemperature switch in it from a farm supply like the ones used in incubators. Hook a lightbulb to the switch and your epoxy will reach and stay at just theright temp all the time".
