Just a quick question for the guys that have done it, or about to.When and where have you installed the fuel shut off valve from thecenter section tank? Is it permissible (wise) to route the fuel lineaft and install the valve where it can be operated from the rear pit?If the valve is at the tank discharge, what are you using to operate a90 degree throw valve? I have looked at a bunch of pictures, butnothing is showing. I am a firm believer in electrics and fuel off ifcoming down unplanned. Comments much appreciated!-=Ian=-________________________________________________________________________________Date: Tue, 13 Aug 2002 20:31:45 -0700 (PDT)

Ian, Included is a link I believe from one of the list mebers that moved toTexas recently? Anyway, follow this link, and look at the pictures regardingthe cockpit. There is a very clear picture of the fuel valve, and in thethird picture down from that, it shows how it is controlled from the rearcockpit seat by a rotating rod. Hope it helps. If not, drop me a personale-mail, and I will send you the pictures. Wonder if this Piet was ever sold? Can't bark at $6,500.00 bucks for flying Piet eh?http://www.flysquirrel.net/piets/piets3.htmlDoug BlackburnDoug/Elizabeth BlackburnArrowBear Lake Ca.Inland Slope Rebels, Riverside Ca. http://inlandsloperebels.com________________________________________________________________________________

I operate the valve with an aluminum tube, with a 90 bend in the end, just above and in front of the pilot seat. Works really well. I can send you some pictures direct, if you wish.Chuck________________________________________________________________________________
