Subject: Pietenpol-List: Glue test piecesGene: In my early construction phase I made test pieces from each gluebatch. It was easy to do because all early glue jobs were large and Iwas enthusiastic about it. I use Aeropoxy and all test pieces broke withthe wood, not the glue. Now I'm 75% done with 3000% yet to go I haven'tmade a test piece in a long time. Most of my current glue jobs use justa couple of drops at a time doing small detail stuff. One reason I'mconfident about my joints is because I put my resin and hardener inRubbermaid squeeze bottles which are clear plastic. ( Aeropoxy comes intin qt. cans ) I mix my glue in those graduated medicine cups whichgives me a perfect 50-50 mixture each time. When done for the day I putthe bottles next to each other and the levels have always stayed thesame threw 4 or 5 refills now. Speaking of CG, There was a letter inone of the IPA newsletters about a pilot who stated that he had to givefull fwd. stick during landing flair! Leon S. My luck, I'll get aDR who doesn't even want to see my plane. Just my glue test pieces.________________________________________________________________________________Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2002 05:49:51 -0500Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Pietenpol-List Digest: 15 Msgs - 09/29/02
