Graham,As promised I went to the work shop today on the way to the monthly EAAChapter meeting. I weighed my basic fuselage. It is only the two sidesglued together with the plywood sides and bottom glued on and fire wall inplace. I used the 1/4 inch for the firewall as I did not have the suggested3/16". 1/8" gussets were used through out. 1" sq. longerons and all otherpieces as per plans. All Sitka spruce and birch plywood. I used anaccurate set of scales and with help balanced the fuselage on the scales.It weighs 53 lbs.I am in the process of sanding off all glue drips and runs. I will have towait for it to warm up before doing any more gluing. I am now working onreassembling a Corvair engine and I have a blank glued up to practicecarving out a prop.
