Exactly what you just illustrated happens when you allow the CG to move aft4" (due to a tail heavy craft or a tail heavy pilot) and counter that with a4" aft movement of the wing. Of course the fuselage remains the same, butthe CG is now further aft of that fuselage, there is then more surface aheadof the CG, there is less surface aft, and the moment arm of the tail isshortened by 4".
