Jeff; my experience is exactly like what Mikeee describes. Power off, the stickcomes full aft and can be held there with the airplane mushing, nose ever soslightly trying to bob, rudders holding the nose straight, and maybe 30-32 MPHshowing on the clock (but not very accurate, given the angle of attack of thepitot tube).Question on your carb heat setup. It looks like you have a small scoop facingforward to draw air into the heat muff. Do you have any pictures of that? Onmy airplane, I took a hardware store chromed brass P-trap, cut it in half soI had a ninety (quarter-bend) with one end flared to slip over the inlet neckto the heat muff, and I fastened that to the heat muff with some sheet metal screws.I also added a flat plate in the fork of the exhaust manifold to makethe air go around much more heated surface. Works great, and I get much bettertemp rise through the carb heat setup with it than the way it was before, whichbarely dropped RPM at all on runup check.
