Subject: Pietenpol-List: Ryan's Piet project for sale $750Ryan, You are asking a VERY modest amount for your project for as much as is completed. There is no way you could build what you have there for that amount of moneyfinished or not and anyone who offers you less is dreaming. This is a great buy. And Jon, mixing T-88 by eye is really easy and it is very forgiving to slight errorsin mix ratios but even by eye you would be surprised how close you can getthe two parts by simply pouring into some small Dixie cups. I routinely glued two scrap pieces of capstrip in an overlap fashion as glue jointtests pieces when mixing batches of T-88 and then when cured you just putone end in the vise and bash the other with a hammer. If the wood breaks yourglue mix was just fine. I personally would not waste time using syringes andthen cleaning them out. To each his own. Then again I wouldn't build orrebuild a GN-1:)) Mike C. ________________________________________________________________________________Date: Wed, 7 Apr 2010 12:42:56 -0700 (PDT)

You "markled" your mixing cups... that's awesome. Speaking of the Markle... he has an awesome measuring chart for anyone that hasa digital scale. I started out using that method before I even knew the risksinvolved in the Markle methods... too late to turn back now. Honestly... itmust be perfect... my bottles are even-steven with only a half inch or so leftin each.--------Mark - working on wingsRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Ryan's Piet project for sale $750

As a public service, to help out those of us who don't own a digital scale, andmix our T-88 ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BOTTLE - which is by volume, not weight, I have devised a similar chart to the ones created by Mr. Markle. Here's how this one works. The column titled RESIN is the amount of resin thatyou measure out (half of the total volume of desired mixed epoxy), and the columntitled HARDENER is the corresponding amount of hardener to be added to theresin. The beauty of this chart is that the units are up to you! They can beounces, or milliliters, or cups, quarts, gallons, drams, ketchup cups, microwavedinner trays, whatever. PLUS, if the number you are looking for isn't on thischart, don't fret, because it's a very simple calculation - just multiply thevolume of resin by ONE to get the corresponding volume of hardener to add. What if you measure out the hardener first? No sweat. Just multiply the volumeof hardener by ONE to get the corresponding volume of resin to add.Maybe not as fun as playing with the digital scale, but it'll work just the same.Bill C.Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ttachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/epox ... ______Date: Thu, 8 Apr 2010 11:55:29 -0500Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Ryan's Piet project for sale $750
