Why aren't we out there measuring real life airplanes?I'm presently renting an early Citabria. It is aerobaticcertified. Although it does have a longer, wider wing,it is about the same length as a Piet. I haven't measuredthe tail surfaces but the elevators appear to have a littleless area than my Piet and they appear to have about20 or so in deflection. The wheels are a little aheadof the wing LE in level stance. The engine is a 100hpO-235. ( I said it was early.

)Take-off is advance throttle and stick together. the tailcomes right up immediately. Landing the thing doesn'ttake full rear stick until it quits flying either.Clif> They recommend 20 degrees up and 20 degrees down for the elevators.> Mathematically, that works out to just over 6" up and 6" down.>> Bill C.________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: down to the fuselage
