Pietenpol-List: ACS starter solenoid question

Post by matronics »

If anybody out there has a starter solenoid form Aircraft Spruce, can youanswer this question? The solenoid has two small terminals on the front, in addition to the largebat terminal and starter teminal on the sides. One of the small front terminals goes through the starter switch to powerand the other small terminal is ground.I can't figure out which is which. Most diagrams I see show only oneterminal, the few that show two have the right one to the starter button andthe left being ground, but I thought I'd see if anybody has one in use andcould just tell me.ThanksDouwe________________________________________________________________________________Date: Tue, 05 Apr 2011 20:43:01 -0400

Douwe, Look close and see "S" and the other "I". The "S" terminal is the start and the"I" goes "HOT" only while cranking.--------Jerry Dotson59 Daniel Johnson RdBaker, FL 32531Started building NX510JD July, 2009wing, tailfeathers done, fuselage rollingusing Lycoming O-235Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Tue, 5 Apr 2011 18:26:24 -0700 (PDT)

Would you happen to have any pictures or describe a little more about it. How much of the fuse is built? Are all the metal fitting made up? Is the wing going to be a 3 piece or one piece? HelloFirst I would like to know, which fuselage I should go with, knowing that I'm 6'6"tall and weigh 230lbs?Second, I would like to build a 2-seater Parasol at the best a Pietenpol look alike. And third, I would feel very comfortable with Aluminium tubing riveted by Gussetstogether. And forth, it has to be light as possible, targeted emptyweight should be around480 to 500lbs!Does the market offer such an craft with the nostalgic look of the Pietenpol?Best rgds from FranceErkkiRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Project for sale
