Subject: Pietenpol-List: a way to avoid routing sparsCurt--Many ways to make your spars including routing but I chose to go a different 'route' if you'll excusethe pun. Here's what I did to fabricate my wing spars and the sketch also shows how I would do it over again next time. Mike C.Good to meet you and your daughter at Brodhead!!!!!!________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Latest visitor to my project.....

This is a great suggestion, Mike. Your proposed method would produce spars justas strong as solid ones that were routed, and at less cost than buying full3/4" or 1" thick spar blanks. This post could also turn into a "what I would do differently next time" thread, compiled by those who have successfully built and flown their Piets. So whoelse has suggestions for what they would do differently if they were to buildtheir plane again?--------Billy McCaskillBaker, LAtail section almost done, starting on ribs soonRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________
