FBG: The tail woodwork repair is complete. Hinges are re-attached. Need to rebuildthe control horns. Metal's coming for that. Wood and metal for the centersection are ordered. A very generous individual sent me a complete set ofCharlie Rubeck wing ribs. I have all the wing spars and the fuselage longeronsin the garage. An EXTRAORDINARILY generous individual sent me the better partof a corvair motor with most of the conversion parts (unbelievable!). WWwill use that as a basis for my engine rebuild. We hope to run the engine atCorvair College 24 in SC in November.Me: I'm fine. I limp, cannot run, and fatigue a little quicker than before, butI'm at 90%. Hope to be running by the end of the year. Hope to fix it this weekend so I can fly it again.Shelley: completely recovered. The new one now in the jig will be 9 inches above the longeronsat the peak, exactly the same height as the forward arches.
