I grew up inwestern Oregon and we could go right to the sawmills. Too bad I don'thave such a good supply in Indiana.What did you do for plywood? This could easily be more expensive thanall the wood in the airframe, even if you bought spruce. I have lookedat luan underlayment. It is without voids and has clear faces. I didsome soak tests on it that were positive. At $10 a sheet I was thinkingof using it for fuselage side panels.
