I am at the point of installing the L-shaped fitting that goes on top of the aftash piece on the floor. It ties into the strut fittings. The drawing saysto use 20 gauge steel (or approx .032 inch thick). 20 gauge seems awfully thinfor that application. It would not seem to be providing any strength. Doesanyone have any comments? Should I use a thicker gauge such as .063 inch thick? Thanks, BartBart D ConradBoeing Field ServiceDC-9/MD-80/DC-10 & 737 Heavy MtcPhone: 713-640-5882/713-324-4192Fax: 713-640-5891Pager: 713-318-1625________________________________________________________________________________

BartI wouldn't use anything thinner than .065" 4130, probably .090" 4130 if the bend allowance (.1875": min.) would allow it....Steve________________________________________________________________________________
