Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: ReplicraftGreetings:Give them a call. I dealt with Steve and he did a great job. He was prompt to answer my e-mails and phone calls. The work on what I bought was very good.Joe MatthewsColumbus, GA________________________________________________________________________________

Vi also did a question and answer session, when he told of some of his experiences while working with Bernard Pietenpol. He worked with Bernard for some ten years, and said it was the best ten years of his life.VITALIS KAPLER1033 Forest Hill Dr. SWRochester, MN 55902Te. 507-288-3322________________________________________________________________________________Date: Thu, 03 Aug 2000 07:11:45 -0600

Subject: Pietenpol-List: ReplicraftAnyone using Replicraft should be aware that he uses the 1929 plans. Ibought a set of eng. mounts for the Ford A and just like everything elseon the Piet plans, they are built wrong. Not the fault of Steve atReplicraft, He was just building to the plans. The 29 plans show a 2 1/2in. drop in the motor mount. The 33 plans show 1 in. drop. The 1 indrop comes out to about 2 1/2 degree. I think someone got there unit ofmeasurements mixed up. If you drop the Ford 2 1/2 in at the nose alongwith a 72" prop, you are looking at a prop strike. None of the picturesof early Piet's appear to have more engine drop than later built Piets.Leon S. looking at a box of "to the plans" left over parts.________________________________________________________________________________
