Hey Kip, another point ref ribs: when it came time to make a rib (I made one per day) I put Saran Wrap over the entire jig and then pushed all the pieces into the jig. That prevented the rib from sticking to the jig itself. Also, you can use staples (size 5/16") to keep the gussets in place while the glue is drying. Later, these staples can be removed. No need to use those concrete coated nails. Eventually those will corrode. It's the glue that's holding the gussets, not the nails. The capstrips don't need to be steamed, either. I soaked just the ends of the strips in a bucket for a couple of days and pre-curved them a-la Tony. There wasn't a problem putting them into the jig.Since you will be putting a finish coat onto the ribs for protection when they are done (I'm using Stits Epoxy Varnish EV-400/EV-410 as part of the Stits covering), remember to coat the entire inside faces of the gussets with glue before stapling them to the rib. This will save you from having to get into the little notches and crotches with a small brush when you're putting on the epoxy varnish. It will save you a lot of time and angst.
