If you look at the description for the ebay "peit" that CROME bought, itstates explicitly: RagWing Petienpol Replica. It doesn't look like it'seven been flown and from the pictures, it looks like quite a bit of detailedwork went into it. For $3000, it's probably not a bad deal. Too bad hedidn't get a true Pietenpol but in no time at all, he'll still be flying. In my opinion, that's the whole point. As far as the other ebay aircraft auctions, buyer beware. Ask questions andsee if you can view the aircraft personally.********************I have been lurking about watching two Piets on E-Bay. Also bee watching aFisher Horizon. After seeing the one that was a Piet actually NOT being aPiet, makes me a little leary of the process. I would consider buying aPiet project, but now I have another series of questions to ask...1. Is it really a Pietenpol?2. What version of the plans is being or has been used thus far?3. Why do you live so far from Spring, Texas?etc, etc...Starting from scratch amy be a little more time consuming, but maybe alittle less complicated. Or, knowing the builder would also be helpful.Tim********************________________________________________________________________________________
