Subject: Pietenpol-List: Corvair mount CGHi everyone .... Can someone answer two questions for me that will helpme figure where the CG of my Franklin needs to be in reference to myCorvair style mount. My Franklin's mount bolt pattern is 2" longer thanthe Corvair pattern and the CG of the engine seems to be centered overthe bolt pattern . So1. Is the Corvair engine centered over it's mounting bolt pattern or isthe pattern centered under one end or the other of the engine??2. What is the distance from the front mount bolt of the Corvair engineto the prop flange? I need to build an extended mount but I can't do that unless I knowthe approximate CG location of the corvair set up. Also does anyone have any updated info on William Wynns condition?? I'm really stuck without knowing how the Corvair sits on the mount.I need to figure the aproximate CG of the Corvairengine and then extend the mount enough to put the Franklins CG outanother 3 to 4inches unless someone knows a better way of doing it. Thanks Ed G.________________________________________________________________________________
