THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE SURVEY***************************************************************On September 19th a SPECIAL - EAA Chapter E-Gram was sent outregarding the VFR flight restrictions that were currently under effectand asurvey with three questions was included. The feedback on the surveywasOUTSTANDING and we thank all those who participated. The survey wasveryimportant in gathering information that reflects some of the concerns oftheEAA Chapter community. The comments that were received were very goodandconstructive and enable EAA to provide additional guidance to the FAAandDOT as they worked with the DOD.The following questions were asked:With the current VFR flight restrictions, what areas have you noticedthathave experienced the most significant negative economic impact?* Flight School Closed * Fuel Sales Reduced * Cancelled PersonalFlyingActivities * Cancelled Flying EventsIf VFR flight were brought back on line with some limitations, which ofthefollowing is least acceptable? * Transponder Required * VFR Flight Plan Required * 50 Mile FlightFromHome Airport Restriction * No Night OperationsWhat is your level of confidence we will return to all flight operationsasthey were before September 11th?* High Level * Medium Level * Low Level * No ConfidenceHere's a highlight of the results from the survey: The most significantnegative economic impact that survey responders experienced was thecanceling of personal flying activities (40%). Close behind wasexperiencing Flight School Closures (34%). The least acceptablelimitationwas a 50 mile Flight from Home Airport Restriction (62%). The overalllevelof confidence that flight operations will return as they were beforeSeptember 11th was Low Level of Confidence (34%).Subsequent SPECIAL - EAA Chapter E-Grams were also sent in an effort tokeepEAA Members as up to date as possible on the current flight situation. Wecontinue to work to return flight operations to full status.
