I did the calcs for a 1" diameter tube of which had a Cd (Coefficient ofdrag) of 1.2 which gave a result of 0.15 HP per foot length. Thatanswer could be linearly scaled up or down, within reason, with thediameter. That answer could also be linearly scaled with the Cd. A 2"tube would then result in 0.30 HP per foot, or a 1" (projecteddimension) elliptical tube with a Cd of 0.6 would then result in 0.08 HPper foot length.
