There is an excellent article in this month's Vintage Airplane magazineabout the dangers of static electricity sparking while wiping down fabricwith solvents during the covering process. The author got a spark from hislatex gloved hand to the fabric he was rubbing with a solvent soked rag andwatched his Casutt Racer go up in flames! I have scanned the article intoPowerPoint and can send it to any who are interested and aren't members ofthe EAA Vintage Aircraft Association.Corky, you probably don't need to worry about this - I don't think they'veever heard of static electricity in Lousiana, due to humidity.Jack________________________________________________________________________________Date: Tue, 19 Mar 2002 08:31:50 -0600
