As corky just sent out, refueling is dangerous, even moreso when one uses aplastic container to pour from as it is very difficult to ground a plasticgas can. With steel, you can ground the can to the funnel to the tankbefore you start the pour but the plastic cans don't work the same way. There was a guy refueling is luscombe a few years back from a plastic canand the static discharged and lit up the vapors. He even had a ground strapto the can and to the aircraft and to the earth but apparently a potentialcan still exist from one end of the plastic can to the other. I have heardof other cases as well, especially with plastic bedliners in pickup trucksarcing over the side to the gas tank neck vicinity.Use steel cans...Chris Bobka________________________________________________________________________________
