Subject: Pietenpol-List: 0-200 EnginePieters,Have access to an 0-200 engine, no logs, no mags but all other accessories. Was running when removed from 150. I was going to buy it but changed my mind because of some changes in family health and life style. I paid $1250 for it but got a refund. Anyone interested let me know and I'll give you more particuliars. I agree, I obtained the head and block serial numbers, form Wayne's manual, before I went looking, and everything matches. Do I gather from yourcomment that you do not run a blower? If so, how is your cowling set up forducting air across the engine. Most of the cowls that I have seen seem tobe fairly enclosed! I do realize that most of the parts inside will be replaced, but it'scomforting to know that it was running when removed from the car. Soundslike you got a better deal on your engine. The average price for engineshere is between $200 - $300. Not too many people up here willing to givethings away!!!What is the weight of you engine with electric start, minus the blower, around 205? More to the point what is the weight of your ship?Ken -----Original Message-----

Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: 0-200 EngineYep,Still out in the weather with engine and prop but I think the panel has been stripped. I think I remember Ray saying that the owner won't sell any of it. I'll ask again and let you know.Corky________________________________________________________________________________

Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: 0-200 EngineChris,I just offered Mr Harvey the benefit of this forum to help him rid some of his vast inventory of stuff. He has a daughter who works her butt off along with her husband keeping the place going. He is on a cane now with a real bad back. Can't move planes or open those hanger doors. Trying to assist a real nice guy the best I can. I had bought the engine from him for cash and about a week later my wife, in the hospital, was diagnosed with cancer. This of course halted any and all future plans with adult toys. He cheerfully gave back my money in cash so that's where it stands now. No logs and he can't remember nothing from several days back. It's on a vertical stand but has been years since on an airplane. Cyl are dry but as I rotated it a few time on the stand compression began to develop so I stopped that in fear of scratching something. It has everything on it except the mags even the baffles as taken from a 150 I suppose. He has many old mag housings for exchange which would go with the engine. Wish I could be more technically descriptive but I just don't know that much about them.My Piet now has 16:45 hrs of logged descriptive test time. It's tough watching someone fly your baby while you stand on the ground shading your eyes with one hand and using the other to plug up your ass.
