Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Piet or GN-1Leon,I don't know you and you don't know me so my comments are directed to the bare wall with no expectant recoil. After reading your last letter to the list I'm wondering if you are ready to build an airplane. Your comment about the inadequacy of the plans. May I point out that no matter how detailed one may draw up a set of plans there will ALWAYS be someone lacking the building and technical experience to understand the mechanical requirements which are implied and expected of a builder. One could be so complete as to tell the builder how to adjust a cresent wrench to fit various size nuts and bolts or how to hold a spray gun, angle and all, when painting their Piet. Where is the end?As for the Piet vs GN1, that's your problem. I chose the Piet plans and found them more than adequate. My plane is completed and if I had it to do over again I wouldn't change one nut.Corky in La w/ 16:45 test pilot hrs on N41CC________________________________________________________________________________
