John asks about a step to help get into and out of the cockpit. There are some pictures of Ernie Moreno's Piet on my website, at http://www.flysquirrel.net/piets/piets.html and especially the photo at http://www.flysquirrel.net/piets/engine01.jpg that show the little step that Ernie's plane has. This one places all the load on the gear leg and not the fuselage structure.
