Not sure of the Movie Title, but I too saw a really neat movie many yearsago about POWs building a glider and launching it to freedom. It is indeedbased upon the true story of The Colditz Castle POW camp and they reallydid build a glider. The glider was very near completion when the Americanforces arrived and liberated the town and the camp. There is only oneknown photograph surviving and you can see that on the web if you do asearch for Colditz Castle. The glider was broken up and used for firewood, it never flew. That is just one of many amazing escape stories fromthat place. There is a book or two written about this stuff also. Thedocumentary I watched was a NOVA, PBS program. Not sure when it aired.
