Chuck made it just fine. The Brodhead group awarded Chuck an award for his travels.There was a HUGE turn out of people. I left Sunday for south Louisiana, I mean south just a few feet above Vemilion Bay to check on a few points about my acraege. Stayed with Jim Cooperand his lovely wife Edna Sunday nite, what a treat. Jim is building a beautiful GN-1and the workmanship is something to envy. I might add, I hope Jim won't mind, that he is the great grand son of the famous book author, Last of the Mohigans, James Fenimore Cooper. Drove home today, made better time than CharlieAveritt who ferried my Piet to Zapata, Tx. I hope that Charlie hookes up with someof those yankee professional journalistic types which seem to be in overabundance the convention days.Unless he asks, I'm not available any more.YKW in La.Off the record, a black bear was surprised last night going through this mans garbage can next door to where I was visiting. The new Louisiana license plate for auto says. Protect the Black Bear. What about the people.
