Douwe,Since the mags are case grounded to the engine block, obviously has to go to theengine, but I think I cleaned up one of the studs/nuts holding the rear caseon.walt evansNX140DL ----- Original Message -----

My Slicks have a threaded grounding connection just above the P leads. I thinkit would be a good idea to install a wire from one mag's grounding terminal tothe other and another wire from there to a case bolt. This would tie noth magsto the case potential. (grounding it) Then the black (ground ) wire comingfrom the mag switch should also be grounded to the case bolt. The problemcould be that if corrosion, or crud, somehow affects the connection betewen themag and the case, like say corrosion in the mag studs, , you could wind upwith a mag that is not at the same potential as the case (basically insulatedfrom the case). Looks to me like this could cause a problemBert ----- Original Message -----

I ran the wire to the engine block and also ran a wire back to a ground plate behindwhich also grounds the radio antenna.Dick N. ----- Original Message -----
