Jack;Lift a cold mug with me and join the "Clipped Wing Club". But we shall fly another day, and learn in the process. At the moment, I'm looking at a set of Cessna 120/140 exhausts that should bolt right onto 41CC. I'll report on what I find out.Meantime, just recall how many "experiments" Mr. Pietenpol endured as he developed this airplane. Forced landings, engine-outs, experiments, and teaching himself how to fly the airplane... at least we have the benefit of shared knowledge, "how to land a Pietenpol" narratives, flight sequence videos, and all the rest to minimize the number of unplanned excursions from controlled flight!Oscar ZunigaSan Antonio, TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at http://www.flysquirrel.net________________________________________________________________________________Date: Mon, 29 Nov 2004 20:10:13 -0800

I have the dubious honor of my airplane having joinedIcarus Plummet in the infamous "Air Camper down" club.Or maybe it should be the "unhappy Air Camper club".I think we even had our bad incidents in the same year.Carb ice brought 41CC down; a taste for steel woolbrought down Niner Niner Juliet Papa. But we're both back!Oscar ZunigaAir Camper NX41CCSan Antonio, TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at http://www.flysquirrel.net________________________________________________________________________________

Mountain Piet is not quite flying yet. The wing panel that was destroyed in the forced landing has been rebuilt but hasn't been covered. The current owner, Greg Bacon, is planning to be at Brodhead this year. He'll be flying in with his 7 year old daughter in a Cessna 150.Greg C.----- Original Message -----
