Subject: Pietenpol-List: How to mount tiresI just got my spoked hubs/wheels back from being laced-up by Buchannan's in California. Now I have to mount the tires on the rims. I have 21" rims. What is the trick for getting those tires on there? Or do I have to take it toa motorcycle shop to get these mounted? Dan,I ran into the same thing when I tried to mount my tires, and had to take themto a motorcycle shop. I laced my own wheels and got them to within .003 of round. When I got them back one tire was about 1/8 out of round. The guy at the cycleshop said he was doing me a favor charging only $40.00 which he had quoted, said if he charged it on actual time it would have been $80.00! He said thetires, 90/100 Challenger by Kenda, are not normally used on such narrow rims.I have the generic 21" aluminum rims seen on allot of Piets.Skip----- Original Message -----
