Bill,You are very observant.and thank you for the compliments. I do notexaggerate that I go to sleep every night and wake up every morning thinkingabout my Piet project. It's probably the reason why I'm getting other stuffdone at home.work before play. The "humpback" was a spur of the moment decision and I honestly haven'tdecided how much I like it; except that it may detract from the slenderbeauty of the drawings. My only hope is to somehow manage to earn a spotnext to all of you accomplished builders and flyers... but now that you havebrought this out in the open, I am in danger of being spotted out with theGN1's (not that there's anything wrong with a GN1).I took a page or two out of Peter's web site, www.cpc-world.com , and incorporated a simple push rod to thebellcrank. I have not mentioned this at all as it is obviously not flighttested. In fact, I have a feeling that, in order to be truly baptized in to theworld of Pietenpol builders (besides completing and flying one), one mustmake the journey to the Mecca at Broadhead. The time has come for me to makethat journey and I have been cleansing my soul by removing from my officewalls all those pictures of PT-22's, B-17's, Spitfires, etc.; and replacingwith Pietenpol drawings and photo's, interlaced with Corvair engine pics. Also allowed are propeller drawings and photos, based on Dan Helsper'sexcellent work..must be pure...Gary BootheCool, Ca.PietenpolWW Corvair ConversionTail done, Fuselage on gear(13 ribs down.) _____
