That's what happens when you use the short names. Airfoil on that site is GA37-612, and for AirCampers it is recommended to use GA30-612.I've attached to this message DXF and PDF files I've maid, with correct airfoil. Use them, or pay for the drawings somebody is selling on this list. That drawing has full rib details, although spar distance and other details are drawn for classic Pietenpol, I guess you'll have to draw your own for GN-1.Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ttachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/ga30 ... _872.pdfle, List Admin.=0A=0A=0A ________________________________________________________________________________Date: Sun, 06 Dec 2009 22:27:41 -0500

Hello,Do you have access to a CADD program? If so here is a link to a DWG file for the 612 airfoil. http://www.davincitechnologies.com/Airf ... rfoils.htm. You can download the file and plot it out. If you don't have access to a cad program let me know and I could load the file and convert it to a PDF file which you could have printed in full size at any Staples outlet or other print shop. Let me know if I can help.I am also building a GN-1. Seven steps to becoming a proper Pietenpol passenger- Step #1 - Left foot on tire, one hand on each cabane........------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Step #2 Head and shoulders go all the way through the cockpit as you step in with your right foot.........------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Step#3 - Put on your seatbelt, goggles and earplugs......... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Step #4 - Relax and get ready to enjoy your flight........... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Step #5 - Enjoy the pretty, rural towns from the air........... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Step #6 - After landing, thank your pilot for a nice flight............. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Step #7 - Tell the world what you think of Pietenpols! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: How to be a proper Pietenpol passenger

I've got them from John Woods table, I wrote to him and in e-mail he confirmedto me that they are from the book. Don't worry, these coordinates are correct, they can also be found on several reliable places. There are two other sets of612 coordinates roaming around the Internet with slightly different trailingedge coordinates.Coordinates for 613.5 where a bigger challenge to confirm that there are correct,I've found only two other aircraft except AirCamper who use this airfoil, butfinally I've found one other source of coordinates to confirm the table. So,I've posted here the drawings I've made from John's coordinates for both airfoilsand, as far as I'm concerned, consider them correct and I'm going to buildusing them. I would love if someone triple check them.Ivanaircamperace(at)yahoo.com wrote:> Ivan, where did you get your coordinates from. There seems to be a bit of confusionout there. I bought Riblet's book and the GA30-612 wasn't in thereRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Mon, 7 Dec 2009 06:16:00 -0800 (PST)

The best place I've found to do price comparisons is MySimon.Take a look at the various quantities of T-88 at the places shown here:http://www.mysimon.com/find/T-88+EpoxyTK--------Tom KreinerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Riblett 612 plans needed

Ivan,The GA30-612 Stations and Ordinates are shown on page 58 of the GA Airfoils book by Harry Riblett. As with all airfoil tables, these are set at 100% chord, and in order to use, willneed to be converted to the 60 in. chord if that's what you want to use asyour chord length. If you don't know how to convert, contact me offline, andI'll send you the calculated Stations and Ordinates. This is very easily donewith an Excel spreadsheet. When you go to plot, you will need to remember that there are both positive andnegative Ordinates, shown in the tables as "upper" and "lower."Hope this helps.TK--------Tom KreinerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________
