Thanks, Mike. Looking at your photo, I see exactly what I was wondering about. See how close the screws are to the edge of the hinge? If it is not a problem, I don't want to create one. If your hinge is only 3/4" wide, then the nutplates on the back must be pretty close to the top of the spar, too?I also meant to ask about spacing. I used 8" spacing which gives 10 screws in the 6' long hinge. This looks to be about what you used too.Gene ----- Original Message -----

As I recall, I used # 8 aircraft grade (MS24694-S11, I believe) screws,going into self locking nutplates.
