John - I didn't flange anything. Just took a thin piece of flat stainless, cutout the notches for the engine mount, and then screwed the metal on with a bunchof screws into the structure around the edges. Simple and works great. I put a layer of fiberfrax in between but in retrospect that seems like overkill(silly, expensive and heavy).
