Thanks to those sending back their info. Some had problems opening thefile. I resaved in all the versions of Word and also included an Excelfile. Please don't send info within the email back to me. It's best if youfill out the document and return the file attached. That way it's easierfor me to cut and paste. Well that's about clear as mud.Thanks,Jack_____________________________________________

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the best reason to makeone or two spare wing ribs when you're assembling them:if you ever ding a wingtip or part of a wing and needto replace a rib, you'll have a pattern that will matchyour other ribs perfectly instead of having to makesomething that is only "close" and not match the others.Of course, you could also keep your rib jig and havethe same effect, but a rib jig doesn't have quite thesame charm as a rib, hanging on your wall.Oscar ZunigaAir Camper NX41CCSan Antonio, TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at

Earlier this year, I polled a number of local Pietenpol builders about whetherthey would have fabricated their own metal brackets & fittings, or purchasedthem if they had been available. Based on the information gathered, we've goneahead and made a series of metal kits specifically for the Piet. The kits are substantially complete, and I'm bringing a very large sample set withme to Brodhead. While the samples were made to prints and spec's, they arenot made from 4130, and may not be used in aircraft. That said, the 4130 alloykits will be available in the August timeframe.Because I value the great comments from this forum, I'd appreciate it if any andall of you would stop by to spend a few minutes with me, give me your feedback, and let me know what you think. The completed kits are:1. Empennage2. Jenny Landing Gear 3. One Piece Wing kit4. Center Wing Section of Three Piece Wing5. LH or RH Wing Kit.In addition to the above, we're putting together an engine mount kit, and a controlskit. In the controls kit, there will be dual stick & rudder, along withthe bellcrank behind the pilot's seat. With a few exceptions, all of the parts in the various kits will have all holespre-drilled, and will be pre-bent. In several cases - those spelled out in theplans - the parts will be drilled or bent during assembly.Pricing is being developed as I write this, but suffice it to say, the cost toyou isn't the principal benefit... According to the guys we polled, you mightfind yourself in the air one to two years earlier.I'm personally looking forward to seeing each of you I've met, and those who'veadded so many great comments during the past year.--------Tom KreinerRead this topic online here:
