Was reading Gantzer's study on Piet accident history he did a few yrs back. I findit to be interesting reading. I'm sure this question was axed/answered manytimes before, but does anyone have a good estimate on how many flyable Pietsand GN-1's are out there in the world? Sorry=2C Guys=2C I have been lurking but not participating or responding lately. My Dad had a stroke a couple of weeks ago and I have been spending a lot of time tyraveling back and forth to Georgia. He is OK=2C and things are calming down. The recent photos are=2C like he said=2C from last January=2C so alot has changed since then. I think Jack Phillips posted some photos of the completed Piet this October after he came up and helped me finish off a lot of details and start covering. It has now turned too cold to do anything in my hangar. Before it did=2C I go the wing covered and about 2/3 of the ribs stitched. (BTW=2C I did not glue to the undercamber=2C when shrunk=2C it only has about 1/2" in the middle of the rib off of the bottom capstrip. The stitches pulled it down nicely)I plan to bring the tail surfaces and ailerons home and cover them over the winter. Next spring I'll have to cover the fuselage and do all of the painting. I also still have to build all of the cowling=2C which are cardboard patterns now. I really hope and plan to make Brodhead.Hope everyone has a GREAT Christmas!!Gene RamboSubject: Pietenpol-List: The Rambo Piet

The hinge is 1 1/2 inches wide with a 1/8" pin. I turned the rounded part downso it would be smooth on top and that made for a 1/4 gap underneath.--------Jerry Dotson59 Daniel Johnson RdBaker, FL 32531Started building NX510JD July, 2009wing, tailfeathers doneusing Lycoming O-235Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Piets-GN1s

My heart felt sympathies go out to those who lost loved ones or suffered severehardships or health issues during 2010. My wishes to all are for a much happierand prosperous 2011.For me 2010 was a good year but a transition year. My architectural business didsee a decline, but that left more time to work on the GN-1 and the house. I took a great trip alone by car to Broadhead and had a great time camping, meetinggreat people, and making new friends. Many of which post on this forum.Broadhead also provided my first ride in a GN-1. I am looking forward to 2011and perhaps the first flight of my GN-1 and perhaps working only part timeat my business. Happy New Year to all.--------Jon Coxwell GN-1 BuilderRecycle and preserve the planetRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Piets-GN1s
