Ken I've had good luck with a 12 ton press, no vise marks or concern aboutthe metal changing properties with heating. I also place a doubler in thetube and weld the end shut. No problems with cracking yet. For a bend inthe center I place a support under the tube end. For a bend to one side Iplace the tube flat on the arbor plate.
