We are starting to assemble control cables and have questions the deflection angles for the elevators? What are the maximum up and down angles for the elevators ? Are the up and down limits/angles the same?

Some time ago I did a graphical/geometric study on the maximum elevator deflection angles up and down and found the deflections to be about equal. In theory, the elevators can deflect upwards 52 degrees from the horizontal and downward 60 degrees from the horizontal, but that's only theoretical. My airplane had a 16 gallon fuel tank over the passenger's feet and the control stick in the front cockpit would strike the fuel tank before full elevator down travel was reached, or else the pilot's control stick (or the pilot's hand) would strike the back of the passenger's seat before full elevator down travel was reached. Going the other way, one or the other of the two sticks would contact the top edge of the pilot's or passenger's seat and limit the upward deflection. See attached.
