Just pick up a pitot tube cover or a 'flip-up' cover at our nearest airplaneparts store. Sometimes the flip-up is best, because it stays on the airplane.I have trouble getting my son to replace the removable cover after he'sfinished flying. It is a pain to disassemble the pitot line and flush it out.I've found dirt daubers as far as six feet into the pitot line, and had tohave an airspeed indicator overhauled because of debris. I gotta admit, though, I've forgotten the cover myself a time or two. ________________________________________________________________________________
