Twwo Interesting things here-First-someone sent me info on thegentleman in GA who Built the "poplar piet"-When I spoke to him on thephone months ago he told me about the "iron Duke Engine" it seems heused one from a GM truck ( s-15 ). He didn't have any solid #'s butseat of the pants figures estimated to be very quick-was standardlength fuse too I think...Anyone really interested should call him-the#'s on the pict. on Richard's site-like other"piet people" he enjoyspeople expressing interest in his project...Second-If you really want parts for the aluminum V-8(formerly made bybuick) get a Victoria British catalog ( i might have an old one as Iand my Old MAn used to dabble with British cars as "father/son"bonding) The rights were sold to the Brits and to my knowledge werestill bieng used in landrovers-was also used in some of the v-8 carslike the triumph tr-8-and has been a popular conversion for MGB's! Ofcourse those are a little harder to find here...and of course theparts are a little more expensive-but may be worrthwhile to checkinto...________________________________________________________________________________
