I'm always skeptical of any attached files. First save them, and then use acurrent virus detection software on them. I move about 2 dozen email aday.(not including here) And lots of attached files. I can't tell you howmany 'piggy back' viruses I've confronted on emails. Especially theHappy99.exe virus. Seems like I was helping people I do business with getrid of viruses more than my own work.Sometimes it can also be the persons 'card'. Which is just an emailbusiness card. If your reader doesn't deal with HTML well it will appear asan attached file.GY-----Original Message-----

>Does anyone have any idea what files attached to Piet list emails and named >"unknown" are? Are they safe to open?>>>Dominic (with an "i" and not an "e") :-)>>In my mail sometimes are attached some "little" files (generaly about 1 to 3kb) that are generated from some mail programs. They are always severalwith the same extension. what I do once a week, I open the Windows explorerand ask for the extension sorting then delete all this little useless files. In my mail they come as "attachments". Hope this helpsSaludosGary Gower________________________________________________________________________________
