Subject: Pietenpol-List: Pulley guardsI just had the airworthiness inspection on my Rans S-12 I just finished afew days ago. My DAR went over everything really good, and found a coupleof minor things that I fixed on the spot. He paid the most attention tocontrol stops. He wanted to know the suggested degrees up, down, left, right, etc, and then we verified all of them with a big protractor I hadbuilt. He then marked all the nuts with bright pink torque seal, whichlooks interesting on my bright yellow covered airplane. Oh well, at least Igot the pink copy, but it's going to take me a long time to fly off the 40hours, cause I spend most of my flying time in my GN-1.Robert Hensarlinghttp://www.mesquite-furniture.comrhrocker(at)admin.hilconet.comUvalde, Texas>Guys- as long as we are on the subject of control systems, my FAA>inspector was VERY interested in pulley cable guards and control stops.>Mike C.>>________________________________________________________________________________
