Regarding the recent mention of a set of Goodyear wheels for a cheapoffering price. A word of caution. I had goodyear wheels, (originalequipment) on a 1949 Piper Clipper. They were not the greatest; thebrake design features an "expander tube" system. That is a rubber tubedoughnut that expands outward against the shoes, forcing them againstthe drum. One of mine ruptured and as of 1987 they were impossible toreplace. I replaced the wheels with a set of Cleveland disc brakes and the results were outstanding.
