Subject: Pietenpol-List: Finishing TapesI'm having a problem with my finishing tapes pulling down at the 90 degree bend of the elevator and aileron trailing edges. I am using 3" bias-cut ceconite lite and am pulling with a good bit of force. Have also tried the iron at 250 (while stretching ) but still get folds that won't flatten out. I'm managing o.k. on the larger radius corners but the 90's have me whipped !! Any suggestions or magic fixes ?? Would pre-soaking help?
