Pietenpol-List: critter flight

Just had one of those flying experiences that I won't ever forget. I hadjust flown up to Sussex NJ to see if some Fisher flying buddies were there.Met up with Bob cook with his Celebrity, and Scott Clarkson with a 404, andAdam with a Kitfox. All have beautiful airplanes, and I always enjoylooking them over.I figured it was time to go, and this is where the fun begins. I climbedout to the south, and had my eye on a plane off in front of me. Because the404 cockpit is very small, with cabane struts to look through, it took me afew moments to realize what was happening.Something was hanging down in front of my face, right down to my belly, itwas warm and brushing my cheek. Couldn't believe it, it was a grey snakecomming out of the hole in the fabric where the rear spar brackets come outof the wing. My only reaction was to grab it and fling it out the side. Iwish him soft landings. Luckily I don't have a fear of snakes (good it wasn't bees orspiders) or the situation could have been worse.Bob and Scott,,,may all your flights be critter free.walt-----------------------------------------------------________________________________________________________________________________
