04/17/2001 09:48:29 AMHi,I'm back from Mike Cuy's neck of the woods, things look good for our moveup there sometime this summer.I appreciate the difficulty getting hold of Wm. Wynne these days, but ifyou do, he pretty much keeps his prop hubs in stock.(someone else makes them for him). Compared to the examples of Vi Kaplarswork I've seen, I'd say it's worth the aggravation to get one from Wm.This is not to say that Vi's work is not excellent, it is, but Wm's hubsare superior in workmanship & finish, AND, you can easilyset up for a simple elctric start if you use one of Wm's. hubs - notpossible with Vi's. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm chicken whenit comes to hand-propping.My other advice re Wm. is that if you really want to get hold of him, gosee him for a couple of days & take your unfinished engine & parts withyou,I think it would be worth the trip.Cheers!Kip Gardner________________________________________________________________________________

This would bemost helpful for all people no matter which version they were building.Ted BrousseauBuilding the itsy bitsy version from the flying manual plans, but stilltaking a long time to build....----- Original Message -----

I found a fellow with a Continental 65 in Lakeland while I was at Sun n Fun.He said it had around 400 hours SMOH, if I remember correctly. He wants$4000 - or $4500 with a beautiful wooden prop. He took it off a Tcraft toreplace with an 85. If anyone is interested let me know and I will dig outhis card and give you the info. Oh, he also said the Slick mags were almostnew.Ted Brousseau----- Original Message -----
