Put in another 7 hours of work on the GN-1 today. No pics on the websiteyet, but will have them up in a few days.I put on the firewall and front cockpit panel. I then formed the frontcombing from .032 aluminum (I think .024 woulda been better). I fastenedthe combing on with 4-40 machine screws into "blind" nuts along the left andright lower edges. I put screws every 2".I then "engine turned" the aluminum combing with my drill and 1.5" wirebrush. I had intended on painting the combing the same color as the fuse, but thought I'd play around with engine turning it. I must say I like thelook. Very indicative of the 1930's. I may just leave it instead ofpainting.I'm so excited... my fuselage is looking great..... looking like a planenow and not a boat on wheels.I'll post a link when photos are available on my site.DJ Veghwww.imagedv.com/aircamperN74DVMesa, AZThis email has been scanned for known viruses and made safe for viewing by HalfPrice Hosting, a leading email and web hosting provider. Ted,I bought the torroids at a local surplus electonics place along with the bigdiameter heat shrink tubing. Everything else came from the scrap box. Thatis what I used. The kit is based on his articles. If you have the articlesand access to the parts, the kit then becomes overpriced.Coast to build was about 3$ in parts and that was enough to make a couple..cChris-----Original Message-----
