The next time you watch the movie "PT109" look for him as one of the PT boat crew in the movie. I don't know which one, but I've heard the stories more than once. Thereis a CFI at the field with a cub and allot of tail dragger time. The plan is forhim to fly it after I get everything right. There was at one time an old polishfellow who built a Stits Playmate and flew from a grass strip just southfrom Jeff city, due east of the big brick house on the hill about 4 milessouth on hiway 54. Can't remember his name, was president of the EAA chapterthere in Jeff City for several years. Was a construction supervisor withsome large company. We lived at the lake of the ozarks for 18 yrs and about 8-9 yrs ago gotfed up with it and moved to the city, so I am familiar with the area.
