I have 2 of the Fein Multimasters. They are the cats meow! You can saw a square corner with them, cut the grout out of your floor to replace it in a very short time, and cut off door jambs. They can sand in tight areas, like corners. They are used to remove windshields and silicone seal too. The only drawback to the Fein tools is the blade cost is just unbelievable,...$ 40 - $ 50 each blade with some even more. For the cost of one Fein blade you can buy the whole Harbor Freight unit. I have seen other companies that make them also, but I can't remember the brands off hand. They use the old style of blade attachment that Fein formerly used, a screw. Still they cost way less than the new type of Fein. The motor turns a cam which is straddled by a V shaped yoke. The blade attaches where the legs come together on the V.dennis

No it isn't a nibbler. With the sawblade it is kind of like a cast cutter. The multimaster is great at clean, deep cuts in all sorts of material. I use mine for clean cuts in fiberglass which tend to dull out regular blades very quickly. The oscillating action is also good for sanding in very tight spaces and for grinding out material like tile grout. I bought mine for the fiberglass work but end up using it all the time on other projects. On Mar 2, 2009, at 2:58 PM, "walt" wrote:> But what does it do???> Is it like a nibbler????> walt evans> NX140DL>>> ----- Original Message -----

Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Multi-master tool knock-offIt is like a cast cutter in the hospital, I've demo'd one by shoving the tool while running into my own face (do not do this with a brand new blade (until the burrs get worn off) ask me how I know) Only cuts stationary materials.Anyhow, cuts hardwoods, composites, plastics etc. kerf is micro thin, no spinning blade to catch. This is NOT a detail sander like the Ryobi junk.Even at $250 they were a deal, we would not build a composite aircraft without one....ChrissiCG Products, Custom Aircraft Hardwarewww.CozyGirrrl.com Cozy Mk-IV RG 13B-turboPlans #957 Chapter? big pieces done, details, details==============================If you have a "Spam Blocker" that requires we fill out a form you will not hear from us.Please do not make your spam problem ours.
