Wow. Somebody sprinkled pixie dust on 41CC. Ever since the annual on it=2C I haven't flown anywhere that could be considered a cross-country by any means=2C until today. Three legs=2C each maybe 25 mi.=2C but it was enough to show me that the airplane is a lot more stable now. During the annual=2C I completely re-rigged the tail surfaces and wings in order to install proper washers and hardware on all the bolts and clevis pins=2C and the difference is amazing. It was bumpy=2C gusty=2C and windy today but at 2000' at cruise=2C the airplane was almost hands-off. It was a great flight and I made some pretty good landings.Oscar ZunigaAir Camper NX41CCSan Antonio=2C TXmailto: taildrags(at)hotmail.comwebsite at http://www.flysquirrel.net________________________________________________________________________________

Thanks for the input, as always.Don, per your reccomendation, I've used one shot for my large N numbers andit is great stuff!Shot the final colored dope coat yesterday on the fuselage (wings alreadydone) and started the stripe, very exciting. Today I start on the "logo" onthe side which will be rewarding as it will really start to look like mydreams.Kinda fun to get sidetracked on cosmetic stuff and take a break fromfabricating hundreds of tidbits. After this, more tid bits for a while, then sheet metal. I can see thefinish line!!Douwe________________________________________________________________________________

Guess I post a similar messege every year.I have'nt run my A-65 since Oct.Few weeks ago I inspected it, and left it at that.Today they were calling for gusty winds of 11mph and up.But sitting at the deli, I looked up and saw nothing.Decided to go.Pulled out my Piet and ,,,,,,,2 shots of primer, mags off, pulled thru 6 blades, left mag on, flipped it ,,,and it was running.,,,,running!1940's technoligy that won't let you down.Did 3 TO&L's to a full stop at three different airports.Had to do a go-around cause of the stinking geese on the runway at Aeroflex. Looked at the winding stream thru the valley,Looked at the Ostrich farm,Looked at the rock formation on the mountain behind my house,Had to clear the trees at Trinca, had to slip to the left really hard to mis them .Ain't Life Grand!was thinking of selling my Piet this year,,,,but I guess I'll keep it.walt evansNX140DL________________________________________________________________________________Date: Tue, 28 Apr 2009 08:55:02 -0700 (PDT)
